Dr. Abhay R. Wagh is a distinguished Consultant Diabetologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and evidence-based care for patients with metabolic disorders. With over a decade of clinical and research experience, he specializes in the management of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, and obesity-related complications.
Educational Excellence & Clinical Foundation
Dr. Wagh began his medical journey at MGM Medical College, Aurangabad, where he earned his MBBS degree in 2010. He subsequently moved to Delhi to serve as a Casualty Medical Officer at the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital in Malviya Nagar, gaining critical experience in acute medical care.
Furthering his specialization, he completed his MD degree and earned a Diploma in Diabetology from the world-renowned Asian Heart Institute in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. His clinical acumen was further refined through his work at S.L. Raheja Hospital in Mahim, a leading center for diabetes and oncology.
Leadership in Research & Ethics
A strong advocate for medical advancement, Dr. Wagh has played a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical industry. He has served as a Principal Investigator for numerous Bioavailability and Bioequivalence (BA/BE) studies and led clinical trials focused on antipsychotics and diabetes medications. His expertise in clinical governance is further reflected in his role as a Medical Advisor to the Adroit Ethics Committee.
